I doubt anyone reads this page anymore. Are blogs even still a thing? But story ideas have been coming hot and heavy lately. I had a novel and a short story idea just in the last couple days. I have only 4 weeks left of graduate school. I used to do some writing in break terms, but I haven’t had one of those for over a year and I haven’t had any substantial writing time for three.

It’s an odd thing, to go from writing every day for six years to not having time for writing or reading or any of the things you love. I’m super thrilled with all that I’ve learned and I’m pleased to have achieved what I have (I think of a Masters of Science like a nerdy He-Man/masters of the universe riff). I can’t wait to get back to writing, though I have missed it so.

You’re right; no one’s reading this page anymore. Hell, I’ve only skimmed it. Besides, blogs went out of style years ago. These days, it’s all about flagrant tweeting.

Anyway, congrats on nearly attaining the title of Masters of the Scienceverse! And may your return to the world of writing (and reading) be so triumphant it demands the heralding of trumpets.

Nate! I mentioned you to my wife a little while ago, that being out of the writing scene meant I hadn’t kept in touch with the cool people I’d met there. How’s the Professor? How is improv going?

      I hope you’ve been well!

Thanks! Overall, things have been good. The Professor is chugging through 1st grade, and his obsession of the moment has recently switched from Transformers to Legos. I took a hiatus from improv last year, but was in a Marvel-based show earlier this month, and have another in May with a Star Wars focus.

As for writing, well… as always, I need to write more. I’ll never manage writing everyday like you used to (and may again!), but 2-3x a week would be great. But hey, I’m finally on my second draft. Baby steps.
